about stacey
Stacey graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Charles Sturt University in 2008 and started her first job at Ageing Disability and Home Care (ADHC) where she developed a passion for complex communication needs.
Since then, Stacey has worked in the area of disability and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for both private and not-for profit organisations. Her areas of interest include Key Word Sign, high-tech and low-tech AAC & alternative access methods such as eye-gaze and switching.
Stacey is a member of AGOSCI, and has completed professional development in PODD, LAMP (basic and advanced), Key Word Sign presenter training & teaching movements for communication (CPEC). Stacey is dedicated to continuing professional development in the field of AAC and disability, and supporting the development of speech pathologists and students. Stacey has delivered lectures and workshops in the areas of disability, AAC & complex communication needs for carers, speech pathology students and other therapists.
Stacey currently works part-time as an assistive technology consultant/ speech pathologist for Link Assistive, and is offering part-time private speech pathology services for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
Stacey is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP)
